If there’s a magic show in the Fringe in any given year, I tend to be drawn to it - partly out of curiosity, partly just wanting a change of pace in my entertainment diet.

Not a lot to go on here other than this little additional snippet from the press packet materials:

“A Magician is the life memoir of Las Vegas Jordan Rooks, growing up in cornfields of Indiana to working in Las Vegas at 13. Come be part of a magic show like you've never experienced before!”

No bio, just a listing for Jordan Rooks, Artist.

There’s a 5-star rave of “Pure Magic!” from Broadway World that’s part of the show image.

And then there’s also another quote:

“Jordan’s story is magic to the fullest.  He puts his life on a thread, and it’s a beautiful thing” - Taylor Swift

I have to be honest, my first reaction was, “Is that a joke?”  Like a fake quote along the lines of “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet” - Abraham Lincoln

Or is it ironic?

Or is it an actual quote from Taylor Swift after she really attended Jordan’s show in Vegas?

I’m outside looking in on most of the information regarding one of the most well-documented celebrities in recent memory.  I’m sure a Swifty could tell me.

Whatever the provenance of that quote is, it doesn’t dissuade me from seeing the magic show this year.
