Fast Fringe and The Wall Street Journal

Two great tastes that taste great together

Fast Fringe (1: The Agony and 2: The Ecstasy) were in the Wall Street Journal last Friday.

There was an article on Fringe Festivals around the world and then little sidebars on what was new and different this year. And in addition to mention of Kids Fringe and Visible Fringe, the Fast Fringe rated a mention.

Of course, they also got it kind of wrong. It's Fast because five plays apiece are clumped together in each of the two Fringe slots, not because we make the audience run around from venue to venue. But hey, it's the thought that counts. And for the Fringe in general, you'll get plenty of running around to catch shows. Stay in one place for Fast Fringe and catch five, even ten, in the time it would take you to see one or two elsewhere.

Sadly there's no way to access this online. You have to subscribe to the Journal for that. But Leah Cooper showed my fellow producer/playwright & Spanish Lady Roy Close the article in question. Very cool.

So, hey, if the Wall Street Journal thinks we rate a mention, why don't you drop on by and see what they're talking about?

Fast Fringe 1: The Agony and Fast Fringe 2: The Ecstasy are both at the Loring Playhouse, both starting this Sunday, August 8th in the afternoon. Four more chances after that for each, with Fast Fringe 2 concluding Saturday, August 14th and Fast Fringe 1 concluding Sunday, August 15th.

Hope to see you there.
