There is precious little detail about this one. However, the name Michael Torsch is all I really need to see here. Torsch’s theatrical past includes a whole lot of work with Sheep Theater, some of the most fun I’ve had watching theater in the pre-pandemic years. So if he’s striking out on his own and creating new shows, I’m extremely curious to see what he’s up to.

So… Northrop Grumman, the manufacturer for the military arms and space industries.
Wagner, genius opera composer, but also notorious antisemite.
Das Rheingold, first of the four part Ring of the Nieblung saga, based German and Norse legends of gods, heroes and mythical creatures - a favorite of a certain German dictator from the 1930s and 1940s.
Not a recipe for lighthearted fare, and we are warned of “other divisive content.”
I know it’s weird to say I can’t wait to see it, but I can’t wait to see it.
(Random six degrees of separation note: a co-worker of mine, Caleb Byers, happens to be one of the four performers in this. Teeny tiny world.)
