For Day 2, the show I most want Mom to see is again one that lands in the second slot for the evening
7pm - Odd Man Out, at Rarig Arena
This was #1 on my Top 10 list this year, so I’m really looking forward to sharing it with Mom.
But we won’t staying at Rarig, we’ll be hiking around the west bank. Mom was really disappointed that she didn’t get to see Ben San Del’s show in last year’s Fringe. So she was happy he got in off the wait list a couple of weeks ago. Turns out he’s got a show on Friday right before Odd Man Out, also on the West Bank, just down the street. So we get to start our evening with
5:30pm - Spec, at Mixed Blood
Which I’ve also written about before.
After Odd Man Out at 7pm, it’s another hike around the West Bank, this time to the Southern, for another entry from my Top 20 list this year, the out of town RE|dance troupe.
8:30pm - It’s About Love Again This Year, at the Southern
They had a great preview in the Touring Artist Showcase Wednesday night, so this show looks like it should be a fun.
To round out the evening, it’s another returning favorite, which Mom has also seen and enjoyed before. All I needed to say was, “remember that play about God entering a surfing competition?” It’s our friends at Sheep Theater.
10pm - Pinocchio, at Mixed Blood
So, a night of comedy, dance and drama. And a fair amount of walking, but all in the same neighborhood.
And here's some handy links to the full list of pre-Fringe top 10, and 11-20, the rest of the returning favorites, and all the random shout outs in these Top 10/Top 20 posts - links all gathered in a single list to take you to fuller posts and Fringe pages. Enjoy!
