Not a lot of information here, but it’s Mike Fotis (plus Rita Boersma and Tim Hellendrung) so that’s kind of all I need to know.
The Blood and Gun/Weapon Usage warnings make me a little nervous because, I have to be honest, the image is an isolated, ramshackle farmhouse, and I saw Fotis’ play “Farmhouse” in the Twin Cities Horror Fest almost nine years ago now and it STILL haunts me. The man is a disturbingly good writer, who can use his powers to amuse or completely freak you out - sometimes both in the same play.
But there isn’t a Horror tag on this show, and it’s a (staged) documentary about a non-existent romantic miniseries from the 1980s so chances are it’s going to lean more to the funny side of things.
Mike Fotis has been on my pre-Fringe Top 10 list of favorite Fringe artists since 2007. It’s always a treat to see new work from him (and all his co-conspirators) again.
Here's some handy links to this year's Top 10, and Top 11-20 Lists, plus the full list of all returning favorites at this year's Fringe, plus a link to all the 2023 Minnesota Fringe Festival coverage.
