Fringe 2023 - Top 20 - #13 - Audacious Ignatius: Lost in Atlantis

Audacious Ignatius: Lost in Atlantis
Kyle B. Dekker

Ignatius Donnelly was a big player in 19th Century Minnesota politics. He is best known as a crackpot tied to pseudoscience, pseudohistory, and Shakespeare conspiracies. A legacy Lost in Atlantis.

Venue: Theatre in the Round

Last year, I tied Kyle B. Dekker’s show “He-Man Is The Devil and Other Satanic Panic Tales” to returning Fringe favorite Denzel Belin.  But Decker’s solo show was so good, he really deserves his own slot on one of these lists.

I have no frame of reference for Ignatius Donnelly but he certainly sounds like a character worthy of dissection in a Fringe show.

I’m very much looking forward to Kyle B. Dekker’s new solo show.  The Fringe is always full of one-person offerings of varying quality.  But this is one that’s definitely worth your time.

UPDATE 8/3: Kyle did a Fringe preview (complete with top hat and walking stick) on Fringe Eve, the night before the festival began:
