Fringe 2022 - Top Ten - #4 - Changing The Narrative: Climate Stories for Justice – Change Narrative LLC

The show is an evocative experience of the senses intended to connect both the head and heart on climate change and spur action on this critical issue. Featuring stories from local climate justice organizers.

From the "More Information" tab on their Fringe show page: "Produced by Jothsna Harris of Change Narrative. Hosted by Emcee Rasheed Harris, this production features live, spoken narratives by Twin Cities-based climate justice organizers interspersed with graphic illustration, music, and poetry.  Featured storytellers include Whitney Terrill (Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light), Nicole Ektnitphong (Climate Advocacy Lab), and Leslee Gutiérrez Carrillo (COPAL); visual imagery by illustrator Lisa Troutman of Drawn Well and songwriters/poets Strong Buffalo and Ben Weaver (known together as the musical duo Buffalo Weavers).

The Changing the Narrative: Climate Stories for Justice program is supported in part by Oyate Hotanin as part of the recently-announced, ongoing series Society of Mother Earth (S.O.M.E.)—a collaboration between Change Narrative, Oyate Hotanin, and Buffalo Weavers."

Given all the bad news on so many fronts, including this one, I could really use the insights and inspiration of activists around the climate change issue.  So that’s why I’m going.  Don’t have any previous experience or special knowledge about any of the people involved, but the topic of the show itself is one I find compelling.  So Changing The Narrative goes on the list.
